Do you love TYT? Do you love Iguanas? Here at TYT our lizard friend has come a long way since he was abandoned on our doorstep, hungry and afraid. We’ve adopted him, cared for him, loved him, and prepped him to be the next TYT star!
With all this care, he has grown astonishingly! A healthy, growing Iguana needs a roomy enclosure to roam. So we are asking you, the fans, for help.
Your donation will help pay for the cost of building a custom home for our Iguana. If we reach our price goal, we will be able to create a dream home for our scaly friend.
What does the dream home of an Iguana have?
- Lots of space for climbing
- Branches and platforms for sleeping and relaxing
- Special reptile-friendly heat lamps for basking
- A water pool for bathing
- A humidity control system to maintain a tropical environment
- Plants and other decor

Who does a donation benefit?
All donations will go directly to helping our lizard friend. We will use the bulk (if not all) on materials and labor for the construction of the custom enclosure. Anything left over will be used to cover ongoing food and maintenance expenses.
When do I get my Thank You Reward?
After the campaign ends, please allow us a month to set everything in motion. We are open to transparency, so feel free to communicate any concerns with us.
If your reward level includes a t-shirt ($75 Level 4 or higher), please specify your size in the "comment" section of the donation form.

Why does the Iguana need a custom enclosure?
An adult iguana can grow 4-6 feet in length and weigh up to 20 pounds! Our reptilian friend is rapidly outgrowning its current enclosure, so we need to take action now to ensure its health and comfort moving forward.

Why doesn’t TYT just put up the money?
The Young Turks is a registered business in California, and although some business have pet expenses (e.g. fishes), keeping the Iguana is an independent effort of small group of employees within the company, not the company itself. Since we rescued the Iguana, these employees have contributed personally to cover food and maintenance costs, but for this big project, we need your help!
Who is the team behind this endeavor?
A core group of Iguana-friendly TYT employees feed, care for, and clean our Lizard. Our team comes from all departments, united for the TYT Lizard!
