Twin Flames Second Album

Donation protected
Despite polar opposite backgrounds Twin Flames found a common musical language. Twin Flames combines Jaaji an Inuk/Mohawk man from Nunavik and Chelsey June a Métis Woman from Ottawa. Together they take the audience on a musical journey across Canada and the Arctic, they sing songs in English, Inuktitut and French.

Twin Flames raging fire: This powerful duo won The Canadian Folk music award for aboriginal songwriters of the year 2016. Their debut self-titled Album Jaaii & Chelsey June released December 2015 was also nominated for two Native American music awards in the United States: Best Folk and Best new duo. The Album topped music charts with the song Porchlight which reached #1 on The National Aboriginal Music Countdown. Twin Flames were voted top indie band for Native Trailblazers radio 2016.

They have now played over 500 shows in less than two years with performances that have taken them across Canada and the Arctic. What started as small flame is turning into a raging fire one that is staying lit in the hearts of fans and listeners. Together they demonstrate the awesome power music has and their ability to connect people from all walks of life.

We are currently in the process of recording our second album. We will be recording at Raven Street Studios, a professional music studio located in Ottawa ON. We will be working with multi-talented producer Jacob Jones. We feel that this album will help our communities further and become an example that all dreams are possible, we are the proof of that. We choose to lead by example and this project is another testament that with healthy lifestyles and good life choices dreams are attainable.

The Youth in our communities look up to us. Even when we cannot physically be there with them our music serves its purpose and helps them through. Non-Indigenous/Inuit listeners will once again be introduced to us and our music and will hopefully spark interest in learning more about our beautiful cultures.

Please help us in making another one of our dreams come true.  This album will showcase songs in Inuttiut, English and French. Our goal is to bridge the gap between Indigenous and mainstream music.  The songs are all written with themes and messages to inspire, heal and simply be...

Studio production, mastering and musicians add up to a big budget. We are still completely independent and self-managed. We have amazing supportive fans from around the world who make our dreams of being full time musicians possible.

How cool would it be to say “Fan Funded” on our album a true testament of the power of music and love for one another’s hopes and dreams.

Let's brake into mainstream! Show the world what Inuit and Indeigenous are capable of.  #Independant
