My name is Brian and I work for LinkedIn in Austin, TX. As you all know, Houston and the surrounding areas were devastated by Hurricane Harvey, which has destroyed 40,000 homes and left 450,000 in need of assistance.
I'm partnering up with my colleague Michelle, a native Texan, to raise funds for the United Way of Greater Houston, which has established a Relief Fund for the victims. United Way's first priority is ensuring people's safety and delivering shelter and basic needs, like food and toiletries. Once the community is stabilized, United Way will focus on long-term recovery efforts. Any contribution you can give - no matter how large or small - is greatly appreciated.
We're fortunate enough to work for a great company that's incredibly supportive of helping others and willing to match employee contributions dollar for dollar. Just trying to do our part - thanks for anything and everything.
