The Digital Marketing team here at TUI have decided to go a bit extreme this year with our annual 'discovery day'. Every year, TUI gives all employees the chance to go and help out a local charity or place of your choice for the day. However... the digital marketing team have decided to do a walking marathon beside the Thames. Although the pain will be great, we know we will all finish for the great causes we are fundraising for.
So a little bit about Mind - Their mission is 'We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.' With 1 in 4 people every year experiencing a mental health issue, Mind has never been so important. A few stats to help win over your hard earned money - 76,323 telephone calls answered annually from someone in need of Mental Health services, Mind's online support and info was accessed 10.8 million times last year with 513,539 using local Mind services.
Therefore, with a little bit of hard work, tears and broken soles on our shoes, we can add a little bit of value to an extremely beautiful cause.
