We are seeking both small donations which can be applied to memberships and larger 'corporate' donations that might be helpful in advertising, the video explains this in detail.

My name is Steve Farmer, along with Rob Keough we came up with the idea of a fully functioning chess center in Tucson Arizona.

We started this endeavor over a year ago and are excited to announce that we will be opening our doors February 2018 and will be holding our Grand Opening on Saturday, February 3rd.

We are dedicated to providing a chess center that will serve young and old alike; offering lessons, lectures, exihibitions and events to play in. As our motto states, it is a place to "Learn, Play and Compete".

Part of our goal is to make chess affordable for schools and by selling at or below cost the supplies they would need, help to train the school coaches in forming a team for their school and to get them in contact with the local scholastic program if they are interested in playing other schools.

We also plan to reach out to the elderly community. Chess is good for children as well as adults. For the younger crowd it teaches decision making and problem solving and for the older crowd it keeps the brain active.

We've also found that in the Tucson metro area alone there are almot 9,000 people who at one time played chess seriously enough to join the US Chess Federation and one of our goals is to try and create an environment that will bring back many of these people to the game that they once found entertaining.

Our staff has extensive experience in competitive chess and in business as well. We are seeking donations to help us build up the club for room additions and to reach out to as many interested people as we possibly can.

We will be offering classes to all strengths and ages. We will offer affordable lectures and lessons. We will be hosting numerous events of many different formats to entice as many different styles of players as possible.

Can you help us to make what was once thought impossible turn into a reality? Please share this with like minded friends!
