Paul's Brawl with Leukemia

My friend Paul Parfitt, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor, marine, was on October 25, 2018 diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. In 2017 Paul was downsized out of his position and had been in process of starting a new business when diagnosed.  He has continued to provide for his family  paying household expenses as well as medical insurance costs & his daughter's nursing school tuition. 

The chemotherapy's side effects have caused serious complications and taken a toll on Paul's heart & lungs. Which has greatly increased his need for medical care and delayed his cancer treatment. Paul and his family are in for a long haul in getting him healthy again and they need our love & support every step of the way. 

Despite these financial challenges as well as the physical, mental, and emotional toll chemotherapy takes Paul has been a true inspiration. His smile greats every visitor and member of the fantastic medical team working to cure him.  His positive attidude bouyes the hospital staff and  his floormates.

Paul is a selfless man who has helped countless friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and even strangers. But now he is in need of OUR help. Please find it in your hearts to help Paul and his family offset the mountain of medical expenses he and his family are facing.

Paul's chemotherapy will be followed by bone marrow transplant as soon as a donor is located.
Paul will be on the hospital for 6 more weeks during the transplant and will return to the hospital for regular treatment and management of his complications for approximately 12 months.
He will not be able to return to work until he has significant recovery from his symptoms.
Paul's wife Tracy and their children, along with out patient nursing staff, will continue to be his caregivers at home between hospital stays.
