Trying to Save Veteran's Furry BFF

For those who have had the pleasure of meeting our Potcake Erika, you know she's a special girl. She's got some sass, has a sense of humor, and is one of the most friendly dogs you will ever meet. She's recently been diagnosed with Diabetes as well as having pancreatitis. She's lost a considerable amount of weight and is currently receiving IV fluids as well as pain medicines and insulin. Erika has been in the hospital for the past two days and has slowly begin to get better. Currently she will need at least another 2, maybe 3 days in the hospital before she can come home. Without any donations, she will have to come home tomorrow (Jan. 18) where she will have to start a decline back to where she was before she finally crosses the rainbow bridge. She is a therapy dog for a disabled combat veteran with severe PTSD. This has been particularly hard for him since she has helped him for the last 4 years. Your money will go towards: 3 days of vet clinic and overnight hospital care as well as medications for Erika. Any help you may be able to give is greatly appreciated! Erika has survived a high kill shelter where she spent much of her life. She's a tough cookie and we know she will continue to get better with your help!
