Trulee needs your help!

I’m an independent beagle rescuer from Frisco, TX and pull under Forgotten Tails Rescue. I pay for all expenses out of my own pocket (medical bills, food, crates, beds, etc) and will only do fundraisers when the medical bills go over $500. Well, this is one of those times.

This sweet little 18 pound girl came to me from BARC in Houston 9-14. Came in with a huge collar and tether clip still attached. Poor girl is a mess. Pretty much furless, severely anemic with a possible blood transfusion needed, cauliflower ears that are horribly infected, labored breathing, raspy lungs, high heartworm positive, low thyroid, coughing, not spayed and needs a dental. She’s got a long way to go, but she’ll get there. She saw Dr. Hamlin at Mercy Animal Clinic and obviously has led a horrible life which lead to all of her medical issues. She was put on Doxy, clavamox, prednisone and vit b12. Her gums and the inside of her eyes are pasty white, she’s weak and her labs are VERY low. We’re giving her pET TINIC and hope her anemia improves in the next couple of days, if it doesn’t she’ll need a blood transfusion. Her thyroid issue will be addressed once her anemia is under control.  Her ears were packed with antibiotics. The plan is to do fast kill heartworm treatment after 30 days of doxy, but ONLY if her lungs sound clearer and she’s feeling better. She’ll also need to be spayed and a dental either before or after heartworm treatment, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. She’s going to need blood work run often to monitor her anemia (I’ve attached her labs from yesterday). Not sure what caused all the hair loss, maybe thyroid, flea infestation or overall neglect.  This may also require more testing.
