Hello and welcome,

This Go Fund Me page has been set up by the loving friends and family of Trishy, who is now facing the hard reality that her cancer has returned.
Trishy is a vibrant soul always lighting up a room with her great sense of humour and is always there to offer her generous spirit and enriching company.
It is our intention that through this page we can help bring her and her family support through the funds raised.

A little backstory first:
Five years ago Trish was diagnosed with stage 2B breast cancer where she underwent surgery, chemo, radiation and hormone therapy to put her in remission. She not only survived but thrived from the lessons and journey that accompanied this disease with incredible courage, dignity and self-awareness.

Trish’s current circumstances:
At 44 years of age, our beautiful friend is dealing with a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis; beginning another fight for her life. Trish is also a single mother who is striving to live a long life, to be a guide for her two boys who are aged 9 and 11 and enjoy the journey through their school years into adulthood.

A couple of months ago, Trishy began to feel short of breath, eventually visiting her GP as the symptoms did not improve. Sadly her worst fear was realised, her cancer had returned but also metastasised into her pleural lining, spine, rib and sternum.

Trishy has always been an optimistic person and her approach to this is no different, choosing to not only undertake conventional therapy involving an oophorectomy along with a new drug that was recently released on the PBS; she is also undertaking a comprehensive integrative therapy approach.

Cancer is a very complex and intelligent disease, and unfortunately, you can’t outsmart it with just one bullet in the chamber. The strategy is to attack the cancers communication pathways, its blood supply and its food supply so it cannot proliferate into other areas of her body and to endeavour to shrink/destroy existing tumours.

A trip to Germany is highly recommended for photodynamic therapy for bones metastases which is not available in Australia.
The only clinic available with the most promising treatment for bone metastases in the world we have seen after extensive research. We have been in touch with Dr Michael Weber who has developed this technique using a photodynamic therapy that is currently the most promising treatment specifically for bone metastases which does not have adverse side effects commonly associated with other treatments.
It literally laser targets the tumours and also helps maintain pain management.

What you're supporting:
Your financial support will really help Trishy win this battle; with ongoing treatment costs both here in Australia and abroad.  Also helps during a time of reduced (full-time) income; donations will help provide her and her wonderful family support and help carry this financial burden. Trishy has also had to take a few months off work to recover from 2 pre-treatment operations.

Trishy has been told this cancer is incurable by her oncologist though she hopes to share her unique health protocol for this disease with other women who are facing a similar situation and to offer hope and strength for those directly or indirectly affected by a stage 4 breast cancer diagnosis.

Let's face it, we all want our mums to be around for a long time and our Trishy eagerly wants to be around for her 2 gorgeous boys.

Your help and support are deeply appreciated and honoured as she travels through this next phase of her healing journey.

With much love and gratitude. xx

Hello Trishy Supporters

I have now successfully completed 2 treatments of Photodynamic treatment and I have to say that this type of cancer treatment is truly amazing, not only do I feel much better in terms of more energy and no pain but I’m looking healthier too.

I received Dr Weber’s treatment in his Bangkok clinic this time, the treatment was similar to what I had in Germany with the photosensitisers and the canulated lasers but he also targeted the tumours along my thoracic spinal area.

PDT (photodynamic therapy) effects the circulating tumour cells and also the tumours themselves.
Sonodynamic and oxygen therapy are also a very important part of this protocol, combined they have a synergistic effect which destroys the cancer and enhances my immune system.
This type of cancer treatment actually makes you feel healthier and stronger rather than wipe you out like chemotherapy drugs which have awful side effects.

I have embraced a vegan diet, my biochemist advised me of the benefits for my my overall health after having a live blood analysis, with a followup a month later, the results were significantly better. Less inflammation, no parasites and larger healthier looking red blood cells and platelets.

My oncologist is happy with my progress and I won’t need to see her for another 3 months, everything is stable at present. I will have another MRI of my spine in a couple of months which will determine if another round of PDT treatment is necessary.

In the meantime I treasure having quality life with my boys who have shown me what unconditional love really is, such beautiful compassion and kindness in their hearts, they also fully support my new diet and are so encouraging.

My family, friends and supporters, some I haven’t even met, but I could not have gotten this far in my healing journey without you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing up, sending me encouraging messages, making me laugh, organising events, holding space when I’m having a bad day, heartfelt gifts, cooking meals and just random acts of kindness. I treasure every one of you!

The Otis foundation has kindly donated a weeks holiday in Port Macquarie for me and the boys for some much needed time together, creating happy memories and a nice relaxing little break.

I love you all and I am doing amazingly well, considering what I have been through since July 2018. I hope to continue on this wellness trajectory and looking forward to learning and growing more from this experience.

Blessings and much love

Greetings Trishy supporters and welcome to 2019!

I have completed my treatment in Germany and feeling great, it was well worth the trip. Dr Weber and his team took excellent care of me and I was fortunate to have systemic cutting edge cancer treatment during the 5 days in his clinic at Lauenforde.

My oncologist is happy with how it went and my blood results show that everything is within the normal range, my tumour markers are considerably down, brilliant news. I will have an MRI and CT scan soon to get a picture of how my metastatic sites are behaving. I’m confident there is no progression and we will see a regression.

Dr Weber suggests that I would benefit from another round of treatment. He has a brand new clinic in Bangkok. I have booked another week commencing 25th February 2019. After this treatment I will not need to visit Dr Weber’s clinic for at least 6 months.

The cost of this next treatment is $US7,000, about the same as in Germany. I bought myself one of his laser watches to continue PDT treatment at home and I’m continuing with the medications prescribed by my oncology team. I keep myself tuned up with regular visits with my chiropractor, medical herbalist, acupuncturist, kinesiologist and exercise physiologist.

Without your support, I would not have been able to explore this treatment, I’m so incredibly grateful and humbled by the outpouring of love and well wishes for myself and little family.
This journey really sucks some days but I will continue to move forward in the most positive and healing ways to enrich my mind, body and spirit and to allow fun, naughtiness and joy to flow in. My light is shining bright.

With much Love and gratitude

Hello Team,

My heart is exploding with gratitude and love for all your support and encouragement and it’s because of your generous donations that I am able to go to Germany for a week of treatments starting on 7th January!!
My last operation was on 19th September, to have my ovaries removed, basically I was desexed :) which was a very good decision as more cancer was found in that area that we were not expecting.
I have completed my first found of drug treatment with Ribociclib and so far I am tolerating it very well, next round the dose will increase. Ribociclib has become available on the PBS in Australia as of 1st July and it has been getting great results for other women in helping to stop tumour progression, it's currently the best weapon with oncology at present for my type of breast cancer.
Some of my other health protocols include, 3 sessions a week with my lovely exercise physiologist Leah to strengthen my body, I drink a tea combination of Sencha Green and Jasmine Pearl an angiogenic inhibitor of the cancer cells (cuts off blood supply and nutrients) medicinal mushrooms with Reishi and Turkey Tail to enhance immune response. CBD oil for inflammation and pain management.
I'm eating a well thought out diet and supplementing with the help of my naturopath and nutritional experts.
My loving brother dave is juicing carrots and broccoli sprouts for me to consume and my beautiful mum has been cooking vego curries to leave in the freezer for when I am too fatigued to cook (amongst many other helpful things to make my life easier during this transition).
Rohan is my rock and absolute angel to me and my family, he is instrumental with most of my health protocols backed up by his extensive knowledge and research, Ro will accompany me to Germany on this exciting part of my healing journey.
I am held so dearly by my network of beautiful friends, with organising fund raisers, phone calls and messages to cheer me up on my crappy days, offers of practical help and organising social gatherings. I cannot emphasise enough, how important it is to have this support during a cancer diagnosis, it directly has an impact on my quality and longevity of life.
My boys have been amazing little dudes throughout the past few months, I am super proud of the way they take such care and empathy when I have been unwell. They never complain and have a completely selfless attitude. Liam makes me his special healing elixir drinks and Lachlan helps me to remember things and there is never a shortage of cuddles.
I’ll be returning to work soon on a part time basis, my income won’t be the same but I’m grateful that the financial stress has diminished thanks to you guys.

With love and squishy hugs
