Carlos Trinidad Medical Cost

Monday, August 5, 2019,  Carlos took his youngest daughter to her soccer practice.  While he was running after his 7 year old daughter during a scrimmage of parents vs. kids, Carlos began feeling dizzy and went to sit down.  He went into a seizure and immediately, paramedics were called.This 42 year old father of two stopped breathing and had to be resuscitated.  Initially the paramedics thought that Carlos may have had a heart attack. Carlos was rushed to Loma Linda Medical Center where they determined Carlos had suffered a stroke and had an aortic aneurysm that was on the verge of rupturing. This was the second time in two years he had an aortic aneurysm. 

Carlos went into surgery lasting over 12 hours due to complications. It took 3 days, before they could actually close his chest due to bleeding that could not be stopped and extensive swelling.


At this time, doctors are not sure how much damage was done to Carlos as a result of the stroke and the complications of the surgery. Carlos will remain in the hospital and is going through many tests to determine next steps.


Prayers have been flowing for days and Leslie is so grateful for the family and friends that have been there to support her and the girls.  This is a very trying time and I am reaching out to all our family and friends for your thoughts and prayers. If Carlos makes it through this stage , he will have months of rehabilitation.  


There will be enormous medical costs and rehabilitation costs for the Trinidad  family—if you are able to help in any way financially, it would be a huge blessing in the recovery and medical costs that they will incur. Carlos is a wonderful father who cares deeply for his family. He has a long  recovery ahead and any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
