Trey's Medical and Property Loss

Trey is a true friend of ours. Trey was recently the innocent victim of gun violence in St Louis. While sitting at a stoplight after a trip to the grocery store, 3 men approached Trey's vehicle requesting money. Before he knew it the entrepreneur, master’s degree graduate, father and family man was fired upon through his driver’s side window without resistance. Despite being wounded, Trey was thinking about surviving for his family even after being shot in the face. Trey fled one block dodging light poles, only to hit paper boxes and a tree sustaining further injuries. Trey crashed somewhat intentionally, with the knowledge that he needed instant medical attention. Bystanders heard the crash and came to Trey's aide.
All Trey could ask them is if everyone was ok and wanted to make sure that he didn’t hurt anyone else. Friends of Trey know him to be the kind of man more concerned with his family and others wellbeing than his own. It did not shock us to learn he was upset about damaging a parked bicycle rather than worrying about his own injuries. This is the character Trey’s friends know him to have. Trey is kind, loving and would have helped his assailants had they approached him less violently. Trey's friends know that he would help anyone in need out of the kindness of his heart.
Unfortunately victims of gun violence are not immune to financial burdens incurred after the fact. Trey is a brave and God fearing man who would not ask for support on his own. Treys hospital expenses and automobile damage were not readily covered by insurance.
Trey is still healing and bravely moving forward but his financial burdens from these factors and loss of work have become a stress that a victim should not have to bare alone. His vision has been affected and will take lots of medical intervention to correct.
Please help our friend Trey on his road to recovery because we know with your assistance he will help so many others through the rest of his journey.
