On July 2, 2018, my sister's husband, Trevor Ellis, was diagnosed with lung cancer. On July 6, the PET scan revealed that the cancer had spread to his bones and his lymph nodes - he was confirmed to have stage 4 cancer. On July 10, the MRI revealed that the cancer had spread to Trevor's brain. Trevor is just 27 years old.
Trevor met my sister, Katherine, and my niece, Ava, two years ago in Tennessee. On March 19, 2017, Trevor married Katherine and chose to love Ava as though she were his own. Trevor has worked hard to take care of himself and of his wife, his daughter and his son. This is a devastating diagnosis for the Ellis family, as Trevor and Katherine just became parents to their son Lyric not even one year ago.
Trevor is a fighter. At this time, Trevor is unable to work, and medical bills and household expenses are a strain for both Trevor and Katherine. We would like to help the Ellis family by relieving some of their financial obligations, while Trevor receives treatment for his stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
