Funeral/Final Arrangements Expenses

My name is Debbie and I am Brandie’s older Sister. I am setting up this gofundme because as most of you know, Brandie has been very sick for coming up on two years. She has had a series of strokes that have affected her speech, movement and vision. Shes has numerous diagnoses’ over the last few years and no medical professional has been able to pinpoint what exactly is happening to her. Well we FINALLY have some answers. Last month, Brandie was rushed to the ER at Putnam Community Medical Center due to an extreme headache with disorientation and loss of balance. While there they discovered a massive brain bleed and rushed her to Shands in Gainesville. Her condition worsened within hours. She ended up having emergency surgery to save her life to repair the bleed and remove a massive tumor in her brain.  We were unsure as to whether or not she would even come out of that surgery at all. She did. After a week or a little longer she did start to wake up a little, but she couldn’t speak. She ended up having to have another surgery after that to remove part of her skull due to to her intracranial pressure being too high.  The situation has done nothing but get worse and worse and worse. I don’t want to go into TOO MUCH detail because I don’t think she would want me to publicly. Please feel free to ask me in a private message for further information. The purpose of this gofundme is to keep her mother with her and to make a way for her children to be brought back and forth to see her.  She needs to be as comfortable as possible and see her children as much as possible while she can.  As I’m sure everyone knows, it is EXPENSIVE to eat out several times a day. If her mom is unable to stay with her she will be all alone with strangers and half of the time she forgets where she is and her Mom is the only one who can calm her down and the only face she can recognize. However that means that she needs to have income to be able to eat and do her laundry there at the hospital. Brandie’s children have only been able to come visit her a few times as well because fuel and food costs are just more to add to an already stressful situation. I have just limited myself to only going once a week for the same reasons and so has our older sister Lauren.  Her medical expenses are going to be covered by insurance but insurance can’t keep her family with her. This isn’t to beg anyone for money or to try to get something for nothing but maybe to help soften the situation that isn’t going to get any better. Even if you don’t have much and can just donate $5 it would be appreciated. Even if you can’t donate at all but can share this and get the word out it would be appreciated. Brandie also needs all of the prayers and positive thoughts and vibes she can get so please share her story in your churches and prayer groups and with your friends and family. God Bless you all.
