Travel fund to DC for young climate advocates

On Dec. 9th and 10th, I'll be joining hundreds of young people from all over the country to gather in Washington, DC to talk to our Representatives about the Green New Deal before Congress leaves town for the year. This could be the last chance we have to put forward real climate solutions until 2020, so we have to show up now to be heard.

500 young people want to come to this event and are gathering groups from Minnesota to Florida to Kentucky in hopes to travel to DC next week. Our movement members are raising money to cover their travel costs to DC. They need buses, vans, food, and housing.

The more dollars we raise, the more people can come, and the better shot we have at implementing the first and only plan to ever meet the climate crisis at the scale upon which our futures rely.

Donate and share this fundraiser over this next week as we support young folks' travel to DC to talk to their Representatives.

The recent UN Climate Report tells us we have just over a decade to save our world from catastrophic climate impacts. For young people, this ultimatum is a rallying cry for the fight of our lives, and we are hitting DC to ask our Representatives to deliver a Green New Deal before it's too late. Help us make sure that the cost of a bus ride isn't the reason a group of students can't come tell their story in front of Congress. The more people who show up, the better chance we have at winning.
