The Instinctual Trauma Response method trauma treatment manual: translate into Ukrainian.

Dear friends and colleagues, we are set to translate the ITR method trauma treatment manual into Ukrainian: we have a great team and an amazing translator who previous translated Judith Herman's classic "Trauma and Recovery." We appreciate your support that will help us do a really great job!

The books is an invaluable 190 page trauma treatment manual on the Instinctual Trauma Response (ITR) method that we begin translating in June 2018 to support Ukrainian mental health practitioners who treat clients with history of trauma and stress. It will be used as a core training material in the 1st round of the ITR method trainings for Ukrainian psychologists with support and certification from the ITR Training Institute, Morgantown, WV, USA, planned for 2019-2022.

The ITR treatment manual is organized in the following way:

Chapter 1: Theoretical, research and clinical application background for the Instinctual Trauma Response method.

Chapter 2: ITR method assessment, stabilization and treatment interventions, that includes inviting the therapist to understand goals and tasks for all treatment phases; and giving instruction on treatment interventions with case examples for all treatment phases.

Chapter 3: Treatment of specific trauma-related syndromes, such as trauma voice and command hallucinations, acute stress symptoms, simple and complex PTSD, combat PTSD, dissociative disorders, somatic dissociation, treatment of medical and surgical trauma, and treatment of orphanages survivors.

Chapter 4: Clinician adaptation of the ITR  treatment model for a client population and treatment setting with option of brief intensive outpatient with a team of clinicians, individual trauma therapy with a solo therapist, group trauma therapy, and adaptations towards working with children and adolescents.

We appreciate your support with this translation that will make the ITR method treatment manual available to our colleagues in Ukraine! Please share with family and friends who are passionate about mental health and well-being.
..every little bit helps us do a great job!

Warmly,
