Trauma survivor therapy

Donation protected
This year has seen me entering my second year with my legal battle against Devon Partnership Trust for the treatment I need for dissociative identity disorder.

Last year I was required to undertake a private assessment by the Pottergate clinic . This was to prove my diagnoses but also set out a detailed treatment plan for my solicitor Mr Ben Conroy.

Ben Conroy has now advised me to find a private therapist who I can work with because Devon Partnership Trust have no therapist willing to work with dissociation and have discharged me . I now have written proof they have acted neglectfully in some areas of my (lack of) care.

I now have a met a therapist Mr Peter Crowe . I have been paying Peter myself so that we both can get to know each other. We agree we can work together and so Ben Conroy will be asking the CCG to fund this therapy .

Getting funding for therapy is a long drawn out process . Remy from the Pottergate clinic is drawing up the funding referal because my local Dr is not qualified enough to fill in such a form .Once this form is done it will be put to the local CCG to consider funding . If funding is refused a judicial review will be sought on the grounds my health needs are not being met.

Peter recently increased his reduced fee from £20 to £40 . This has been very difficult to maintain and so Peter has now agreed to reduce his fee to £20 again but only for 4 weeks. Hopefully during this 4 week period I will have some form of update from the CCG.

At the moment therapy is needed to achieve and maintain stabilisation . This is because my dissociation means I struggle to keep safe at time's. At some point I need to work on my extremely abusive life and the impact this has had upon me. I was sexually abused from the age of 3 until I was 29 . All members of my family was involved and I have moved 13 times to finally escape my abusers. I lost a baby to my abuse and so as you can see my past was very abusive and this impacts my life everyday .

If anyone wants proof I have had the above assessment they can contact Remy Aquarone on
[email redacted] or his PA Michelle Fisk on [email redacted]. My solicitor can be contacted on bconroy@conroys-solicitors.uk. My therapist can and will confirm I see him weekly and can be contacted on [email redacted].uk .

With regards to my therapy receipts can and will be provided from Peter. I can also provide screen shots of my bank statement proving he is being paid .

As soon as my legal case has been resolved, or funding has been granted this page will close .Any access funds collected will be given back to the donor .Or given to a charity of their choice .

It's with regret I need to set this page up . However self funding has been needed longer than I originally thought. A break in therapy is not in my best interest because it's important to continue building up my relationship with Peter. A break leaves me with no professional support at all and I'm just about managing with therapy. I have 1 hour a week telephone support from another person but this is purely to offload .It's not helping with my long term goals of stabilise and a reduction in my dissociation.

I'm far from a selfish person and I have over the last 5 years raised over £10k for Devon rape crises. This can be confirmed by contacting [email redacted].uk

All donations are greatly received and weekly receipts will be uploaded .
