We'll keep this simple - Ruben has a rare liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis. He needs a liver transplant. That is the only cure.
He had a liver transplant in 2008 but the disease came back and is destroying the new liver.
The care Ruben needs is not available in the town we live in so Hope and Nicole will have to travel to be with him.
Our family needs help with travel, accommodations and food expenses as we manage his care.
