Transfourming Sorrow Installation
Donation protected
This campaign will fund an art installation titled 'Transfourming Sorrow' by artist Kardash Onnig that will be installed in the chapel of Wisdom House, a spiritual retreat center in Litchfield CT. This event is organized and curated by Tony Carretta, artist, curator, gallery owner and author. In a world of immense upheaval and sorrow this installation intends to give those who experience it a pathway to reckon with one's own sorrows and through this experience have the opportunity to transform that sorrow by adopting all victims of loss and pain as our own child, irrespective of race, color, flag, or faith. True transformation in a timely moment in history.
The funds will be used for the actual installation and the support staff needed for installation as well as an event invitation card, a publication on the event and a videographer to document the process beginning to end that will be available post event. It will cover all other miscellaneous expenses incurred for the event.Transfourming Sorrow will be open for a 3 month period to allow for the most people to experience and engage with the place, the artist and the installation and will be promoted nationally. The funds can be used immediately as each element needs to be completed to prepare for opening to the public on May 20,2017. The funds will enable this art event to fulfill its true potential in its accesibility, its message and its physical experience both in person and through the internet for those who cannot attend.
To be able to maximize the public awareness of this event and to contribute to a positive force in the current world environment would be a great occurence to which all participants and hopefully attendees would be immensly grateful for.
