How did you get to where you are now? Surely, you didn't do it alone. In fact, without the people you place your stock in, you might not be anywhere at all. This is something that my latest adventure, skateboarding from Oregon to Massachusetts, taught me.
A great deal of my time on the road was spent meeting new people and thanking those that stayed true to my cause- making the most out of a little, achieving my dreams, and creating new ones. Every day was a new adventure, a new friend, and a whole new experience. I felt it over every state line, the tiny differences in demeanor, the unwavered friendliness, and the truest American experience you couldn't get from behind a computer screen.
This time, the journey is just as ambitious- after settling back into my home state of Massachusetts, finding a job, and forming a new relationship with my girlfriend, I am ditching it all temporarily to scale the entire state of Florida- From the depths of classy and trashy Miami to the northern South of Jacksonville. A nearly 400 mile ride, aimed to be completed in less than one week.
Once again I am joined by Original Skateboards, Orangatang Wheels, Girl is Not a Four Letter Word, Riptide Sports, MXK Skate, and Don't Trip Trucks to take the industries finest gear to new levels.
Already geared up from my last adventure, I am seeking help in securing shelter, food, and a plane ride home to Massachusetts. Your donation to my cause goes a long way, and ensures that I don't find myself drinking unsuitable water in the wasteland of Nowheresville once again!
Along the last journey we learned just how hard it was to travel by board on roads nobody had ever attempted before. The mental, physical, and emotional strain of it all had an unmatched caliber to any task I had set myself up for in the past. This time, after proving myself on the competitive field of the 24 Hour Ultraskate, I will take my board and backpack through an area I have never even visited.
I hope you'll find it in your heart to join me on my mission. There are no words to describe the peace and love I received prior- and what I've learned is how reciprocal love truly is!
