WEST ISLIP -A pedestrian has been hit and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Central Islip.
Police say 22-year-old Taekwon Campbell was hit at around 1:30 a.m. on Lowell Avenue, just north of Cypress Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police tell News 12 the driver never stopped.
A description of the vehicle wasn't available. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
Hello.. Myself my family and Taekwon friends are asking for helping so we can properly burry him , this accident was a devastating way to start the New Years 2019.
Taekwon wasn’t a trouble kid , he was a good boy whom loved video games and his skate board . He Would have been turning 23 Jan 13 th .
Someone just took his innocent life away . Plz help with any contributions so we can lay Taekwon down in PEACE .
