Tragedy at Christmas Time

The worst thing that can happen to a parent is losing a child. Unfortunately, that is a nightmare we know too well. Last week we were informed that we lost our son, Dakota Gosselin, in the worst way possible; he was murdered. And as if this news wasn't bad enough, this tragedy stuck our family at the worst time imaginable. The news came only a few weeks after the anniversary of one of our middle sons passing, and only a few days after our oldest sons. November was already hard enough on our family and now we have the tragedy of dealing with our third child being taken from us WAY too soon. The issue is, we now live in Maine, and he was murdered in Rhode Island. This means, not only do we need to lay ANOTHER one of our children to rest, we also need to travel both to do so, and also for all the trial dates that will come. Cremation alone is going to cost about $1,700. And on top of it all, we still have four younger children at home (7, 9, 14, & 15) who are all anxiously waiting for Christmas as it provides a little hope for our family. With this tragedy we now have these unexpected and horrible expenses, and needing to take time out of work for travel, we fear this will all be impossible. Both financially, and especially emotionally. Please help us give our younger children something happy to look forward too as they have suffered enough this last month and we all still have a LONG hard road ahead of us.
