On February2015, Tracie was diagnosed with colon cancer. Tracie was a newly-wed and though she was very healthy as she was working out and eating right. Needless to say, this diagnosis was devastating for her and her loved ones and has changed her life.
For the last couple of years, Tracie has been focused on battling this disease like the true warrior that she is.
-June 2015 LAR surgery and Ostomy bag (rerouted her intestines)
-September 2015 she ended up in the ER with a life threatening blood clot in her lung
-August-November 2015 8 more rounds chemotherapy
-December 2015 surgery to reverse her Ostomy-CT scan showed suspicious spots in liver and lungs
-January 2016 officially Stage IV diagnosis
-March 2016 liver surgery to remove cancer
-May 2016 lung surgery to remove cancer
The cancer refuses to give up and has moved to her lungs, chest wall, and lesion on her liver. She is basically living scan to scan but continues to battle.
Each chemotherapy session cost approximately $28K. With Deductibles and out of network fees it gets expensive to be sick!
All in all, she feels she is incredibly blessed. She is grateful for all the people in her life trying to make things easier.
Tracie has always been there for those of us who needed her. She’s a wonderful person and everyone that crosses her path becomes better because of her. We want to show Tracie our support and love. We want to let her know that she is not alone and we are here to help!
