Some time ago Trace was seen for a persistent illness that had been thought, at first, to be just a random virus. But after failed attempts with antibiotics and progressively getting worse, doctors then proceeded on to rule out the worst possibilities. Unfortunately, 9 days ago, Trace was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma that has spread into his liver.
After being admitted to Renown Hospital in Reno, Nevada and having biopsies preformed, they have determined that Traces outcome is very slim.
His body is currently suffering to keep his liver functioning and he has been progressing more and more towards liver failure every day.
At this time, treatment is a 50/50 chance of even being attempted. If it is a possibility, the Doctor is unsure his liver will make it until the treatment can kick in to begin taking any affect over the cancer. Immunotherapy may take 12 to 16 weeks to begin working. The doctors are unsure his liver can make it that long with how quickly he is declining.
Veronica, his wife, and of course the rest of his entire family who he means the world to, is shattered to say the least.
During this time, Trace and Veronica have exhausted every possible penny to their name. We're asking for assistance for their family as they are currently being burried in medical and living expenses while he remains in the hospital to receive any possible treatment that may help him just a little bit longer.
