Kickboxing
Donation protected
In a small town in Belfast there is a group of young kickboxers. They train in a club twice a week in order to be prepared to compete in competitions. On January 27th they went to Londonderry exactly 2 hours away from their home town in Belfast. On this journey they were very nervous and scared for the day ahead. Once they got to the fight Stephen, Daniel and Anna all got the chance to show visitors and other competitors all that they have trained to do who were from Great Britain, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Each child did terrifically and got metals, trophies and certificates. Little did we know that all our little champions were qualified to fight in Greece in the World Championship of Kickboxing representing our little town in Belfast and our country of Northern Ireland. The funds that we will receive means that we will be able to get the equipment that we need for our children for the fights and also to help cover the cost of some children’s journeys that whom might not afford the full cost. This support will mean that the children will get to live their dream and fulfil their full potential and get this once in a lifetime opportunity to compete not only with people who share our language but to get to know other ethnic backgrounds and the history of kickboxing itself.
