Still filled with the excitement of a very lit Black History Month, Lise and Major of the Take Off Your Cool podcast would like to bring that same energy into Women's History Month! "A Wrinkle In Time" is directed by Ava Duvernay ("Selma", "13th") and has similar buzz to that of Ryan Coogler's box office hit, "Black Panther". The #AWITChallenge - a fundraiser to purchase full theaters in various U.S. cities - is buzzing through the social media atmosphere due to the work of Sisters in the Storm, and Lise and Major are joining in on the movement!
Girls Scouts Troop 5588 is co-led by Bridgit Black, Chelsea Dias, Tyra Donald, Twjana Echols-Jones and Camille Greer. In an effort of appreciation and recognition of the ladies' dedication and commitment to their community, Take Off Your Cool would like to send the girls of Troop 5588 to see this movie starring Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling, Reese Witherspoon and Storm Reid as the young heroine.
The girls will attend the movie on Saturday, March 10th, and $17.13 will sponsor one (1) ticket, popcorn, a soda and a fruit snack for each child. Please join their efforts by donating!
