Top Surgery Fund

Hi! I’m Liam, a 30 year old transgender man who has finally decided it is time to pursue getting top surgery.

I would like to get top surgery to alleviate the dysphoria caused by my chest since I can’t bind often, and top surgery is the solution to my gender dysphoria.

Gender dysphoria is when a person’s physical body does not match that person’s gender identity. In my case, I have XX chromosomes and developed as a female, yet my brain screams that I am male. This causes me distress every time I look in the mirror and see my chest.

The first solution is to wear a binder, but I have trouble wearing a binder because of in underlying health condition called PASLI, and one of the symptoms is pulmonary disease. I have to do intense breathing treatments, and binding makes it difficult to breathe. That is why top surgery is the solution.

All contributions to my top surgery fund will go towards top surgery and aftercare (approximately $8000), and help me pursue a legal name change (the $316 necessary to cover court costs in Arizona).
