Top Surgery for Easton

Donation protected
Nearly 3 years ago, I began coming out as a transgender man to the people closest to me. I was surprised to find nearly everyone I knew was helpful and accepting towards me. Over a year and a half ago, I began the medical aspect of my transition by starting hormone replacement therapy, which helped me appear more male than I looked prior. This changed my life for the better in so many ways.

Several months later, I had a consultation with Cosmetic Concierge in Charlotte, NC to discuss having top surgery to remove my breast tissue. This would not only help my mental and emotional health, but it would help me physically. I would be able to go swimming, exercise properly, and take off my shirt if it was really hot. It is also dangerous to my health to bind long term. It is restrictive for my breathing, puts me at risk for overheating, gives me poor posture, and can permanently affect my internal organs. I learned that I was a great candidate for the surgery and I paid my deposit.

As the date of the surgery drew closer, I worked very hard to secure the rest of the funds for the surgery. Unfortunately, it became very clear that I would have to take out a significant loan to cover all of the expenses and the time I would have to miss from work. At the time, I had a more physically strenuous job than I do now so I would have missed up to 5 weeks! In my healing condition, I would not have been able to work as much as needed to pay off the loan in a timely manner, therefore I would be in debt for a very long time, which causes its own financial problems in itself.

I made the very difficult decision to cancel my surgery. I was very heartbroken for a long time. I felt as if my life was put on hold indefinitely.

Today, I am quickly realizing that I need to take this step as soon as possible for my own health. In order to pay for this procedure that I am needing more as time goes by, I will be working my normal day job, offering art commissions, possibly doing any freelance that may come my way, and using this site as an avenue for possibly securing a deposit and to take as large of a chunk out of the price of the surgery as possible. I will also post updates on the progress and exactly what your donations are being spent on

I'm so grateful for all your love and how you all have supported me throughout the years. I will try to individually thank and make something art related for each person that donates. I will be back with updates as this progresses.

Thank you!
