Update!!!! In the wee hours of November 20, Tonya got a new heart! The need for medical expenses is still huge!
Y'all, our friend Tonya has a broken heart and needs a new one! Tonya has a genetic heart disease called HCM
Tonya just found out she needs a heart transplant and has been added to the transplant waitlist. Once a heart is available, even with insurance, the cost is unimaginable and the costs of medical care following a transplant continue for a lifetime.
Tonya was unable to return to work after summer break due to her health issues, but Tonya was a teacher at Shawnee Mission Public Schools, near Kansas City, where she was a Special Education teacher for students with autism. Tonya’s husband Bo and their 10 year old son River need to focus on helping Tonya heal after she gets a new heart and we want to help ease their financial burden as much as possible. Any amount helps! All funds raised will go directly to the Moreland family for medical bills and living expenses.
