As many of you know, I have been battling health issues this past year. I have recently been diagnosed with Dysautonomia, a disorder that is affecting my Non-voluntary systems. As a result, I have been unable to fulfill my duties as a police officer. This has been a big blow to not only my pride but to my family’s financial well being as well.
After being diagnosed with renal cancer in June 2018, my health took a steady and drastic decline. I have been to numerous specialists to try to get a proper diagnosis and treatment so that I can return to work but as of now the only diagnosis I have received is that of Dysautonomia , which is an umbrella diagnosis for malfunctioning autonomic nervous system. I have also had back surgery during this time, and diagnosed with other small health issues.
Two specialists have stated that I may never work again but I AM DETERMINED to manage this illness!! In order to do this I need your help.
The numerous doctor visits and prescriptions have put a strain on my family’s well being. I am asking for help to pay medical expenses and my mortgage so that I can continue to search for treatment. It has been an honor serving my community as a police officer!
