Tony D. Miller Jr. Funeral Expenses

On Wednesday, July 26th, 2017 at 12:25 am, My brother Tony Demar Miller Jr.'s life was taken by homicide. Tony Miller Jr. was walking home to where he resided in Landover, MD  and was fatally shot and was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. My brother was taken to Prince George's Hospital where he was pronounced dead a few moments later. Our family received the tragic news at 5am that morning from detectives and were very torn apart that we hadn't been notified until almost 5-6 hours after Tony's death and that he was already transported and released to the Baltimore Medical Examiner Office for an autopsy. We never got the chance to say our goodbye's as a family to Tony. Tony was picked up two weeks ago by the funeral home with hopes of his Homegoing Ceremony taking place on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 but we recieved news one day prior to  the funeral that the insurance company  was not going to pay for the funeral expenses at all. Our mother Deidre Watson is greiving and have spent the last 24 hours trying to come together as a family to gather funeral expenses so that Tony's funeral may be paid for in cash. Tony D. Miller Jr. was a 27 year old father of 3 beautiful little girls whom he adored and loved with all his heart ages 3, 8 & 10. Tony was a very kind-hearted, giving, caring and loving family man who always gave his last to others in their time of need. Tony spent his days living life to the fullest, putting family first and keeping his good friends close. My brother was a well-liked man that everyone just enjoyed being around. Tony never started any trouble and he was never known to be in the streets. Tony meant alot to me and my entire family and he will truly be missed but will live forever deep in our hearts.  And he did not deserve this at all! His body has been sitting in a funeral home for the last two weeks since his tragic death and we have attempted to get help from the state which they have told us that they are backed up from years ago and that we should find other alternatives. The Funeral cost are $9,375 and our goal to reach is $9,000. We are hoping to collect enough donations within the next week so that we can continue on with my brother's funeral arrangements ASAP no later than next week. I,Tineka Miller (Tony Miller's Older Sister) will be in charge of all final expenses and will really appreciate any donation that anyone is able to spare so that we can reach our goal qucikly.

I was always there for my brother, taking care of him and looking out for him as a big sister should since he was born. Me and my brother Tony were always attached to the hip and it remained that way up until the day his life was tragically taken from us. I loved my brother dearly and I know he loved me. All my brother ever wanted was to be the best father he could be to all three of his girls and now he'll never be able to watch them grow up into the beauiful young women that i know they will.
