On Feburary 28th, 2017, my father was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. Little did we know it had already began to spread through his body. After weighing the options of treatment he decided he would not go through with any chemo or radiation. The staff at Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, GA took amazing care of him. Once he was stable the hospital released him to go home on hospice. After some trial and error we found an amazing hospice company who would take great care of him. Nina, his hospice nurse, kept in close contact with Camille and I and really cared for him like he was her father. (Side note, her fathers name is tony, I believe she was assigned to him for a reason, she was his angel) At 12:05 am on May 15th, my father passed peacefully in his sleep, ending his two and a half month fight with stage 4 stomach cancer. Although his illness progressed very quickly he was himself throughout. These past couple months have not been easy for him or our family but his strong faith and upbeat outlook made everything just a little bit easier.

At 12:05 am on May 15th, my father passed peacefully in his sleep, ending his two and a half month fight with stage 4 stomach cancer. Although his illness progressed very quickly he was himself throughout. These past couple months have not been easy for him or our family but his strong faith and upbeat outlook made everything just a little bit easier. As you all are aware my father has been out of work since shortly before he was diagnosed. I am updating his gofundme to try to lift some of the financial burden off of myself and my family. We will be planning a celebration of life later this month and I will update everyone on details as soon as they are available. Thank you for all the kind words from everyone who has reached out to myself and my family. Thank you in advanced for any donations. Every bit means a lot to myself and my family.

Ok. So dad is back home on hospice. After some issues we got a new company to come in and things are running much more smoothly. He is on comfort care at this point receiving pain and anxiety medication. I was there visiting this weekend. Got his beard shaped up and him looking sharp. Hes doing alot more sleeping these days. Continued prayers and support are much appreciated.

So dad was discharged from the hospital and was to go home on hospice care. Unfortunately that didn't work out like we had planned and as of last night he is back in the hospital. I will continue to update as i know more. Thank you all for the continued love and support. -Nina

Played ball with Tony (a son) at Fairmont State. Tony was one of my favorite teammates there. I never had the opportunity to meet his dad, but if Tony was a "chip off the old block" I'm sure he was an amazing guy!
