Donation protected
hello everyone! This is post-transplant updates. Tonia had her transplant on June 28th of this year waking up to her birthday 50th birthday with a new liver and a lot of tubes beer anxiety and excitement all at once to have her transplant have a second chance at life + 2 carry on and be the inspiration she wants to be to others especially those going through the same kind of struggles and disease! we will keep you updated to her progress and she does videos to show how she's doing some days are excellent other days are horrible with post-transplant complications and now possibility of bleeding ulcers. there's can be treated I can be extremely dangerous especially so fresh after surgery and in such delicate body. keep following video updates and posts stay in touch she loves hearing from you guys we love support kind words encouragement prayers of course and any donations to help until she can get back to doing the things she loves which is working and helping others. She's been a caregiver for many years taking care of friends family and for work. we thank you for continued sharing and donations. Team Tonja is raising money to help out with the cost of a liver transplant. At the beginning of the year in 2018, Tonja was rushed to the emergency department on the verge of death because her esophagus was bleeding into her stomach  and she was throwing up blood. While she was in the ER they discovered that she had esophageal varies, cirrhosis of the liver and gallbladder disease. She is expected to have a liver transplant and gallbladder removal within two to three months. Her health insurance will only cover 70% of the cost to get the transplant, so she is expected to pay the 30% before they will do the surgery. Her insurance will not pay for the aftercare and what is left over will be donated to St. Jude's children's hospital and the American Heart Association. She is home bound and not allowed to drive and has doctor appointments every week. Help Tonja raise this money so she can get another chance to live her life right; she has many goals she wants to complete like finishing up college to get her bachelors degree in health care administration and analytics, she will be returning to school as a senior after the transplant and plans on continuing her education to get a masters in healthcare education. She also wants to meet Dale Earnhardt Jr., Adam Levine and of course Ellen DeGeneres!!! With your help she is looking forward to a full recovery, returning to school and playing in the floor with her 19 month old granddaughter. Thank you for your support!!!
