In Loving Memory of Thomas Patrick Ramstack

Thomas Patrick Ramstack, or Tom as I knew him, a loving husband, caring father, and such a positive human, lost his battle with cancer in his 3 round bout. Tom faced Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1995 (win),  Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2017(win), and Leukemia in 2019 (he was suckered punched). Before facing Leukemia, Tom decided that if he was diagnosed again he wouldn’t go through chemo treatments because it was too painful, but his unconditional love for his wife, Linda, his children Ryan, Kelly, and Kyle, and his only granddaughter, Charlie, lead him to go through with chemo one more time. 

The Ramstack family has always been reserved and humble, never asking for much, never revealing anything but smiles and laughter. With permission from the family, I've set up this gofundme because it's the very least I can do after finding out that Tom was never able to get a life insurance policy due to his initial cancer diagnosis.  I also learned that he was the sole provider for the family since 2007 ever since his wife was forced to be out on disability. She will never be able to go back to work due to a bridge in her neck, keeping her from driving and seeing in the rear view mirrors. Being the positive person that he is, Tom didn’t have final expense (funeral) insurance because he always thought he’d be able to go back to work.

With his passing, the medical and funeral bills have added up. I understand that no amount will lessen the heartbreak and, to be honest, I had to google what a funeral costs because I had no idea, so the goal is an estimate on my behalf.  All donations will go directly to the Ramstack family (Linda, Ryan, Kelly and Kyle),  who are in charge of making his funeral arrangements. It was Tom's wish to be buried at the Christ Cathedral where he previously worked as a funeral planner. It would be wonderful to help the family fulfill that wish.

Tom was known for always saying one thing: "Make It A Great Day".  We hope that we can raise the funds to help arrange for a celebration of his life, and despite the circumstances, make it a great day in honor of Tom Ramstack and the Ramstack family.
