Tommy Boy’s Healing Journey

Our father passed away last night. Vicki needs all the help she can get with paying for her deductibles and the funeral expenses. Thank you. Please share with extended family and friends who wish to help.


Our dad has been in ICU for going on 3 weeks.  He was diagnosed with very rare and severe strain of Gillian Barre which has left him completely paralyzed and only able to move his feet and nudge his neck.   He has severe nerve damage and the doctors can’t say how reversible it is.  He communicates to us with his feet (wiggles then for yes). He’s on a feeding tube and tracheotomy for breathing.   He is unable to open his eyes, but when we open them he confirms he can see us and hear all that is going on around him.  He’s undergoing plasma treatment and we are praying that he’ll start to show signs of improvement soon.  His devoted wife of 40 years has been by his side daily and his family is also visiting him as much as possible.

3 weeks ago, the day he was hospitalized he was flown to Portland Oregon (5 hours from his home and support system) where they were more accustomed to treating his condition.  He and Vicki have a very long and expensive road ahead of them and would never ask anyone for help, so we are setting up an account on their behalf.   Vicki is currently living in an RV in Portland while  financially maintaining her home in Medford.   All funds raised will go directly to Vicki and my dad to help with medical expenses.    We have no idea how much they’ll incur in expenses but his recovery will take a year +.  

On behalf of my family, I thank you with all of my heart for anything you can do to help my dad and Vicki.  We also thank you all for your prayers and support.  

If you know our dad, you know that he is one of the kindest, most beautiful souls in the planet.   He is loved by many and we are praying he pulls out out of this.
