Tom Gordon's Heart Surgery

If you know Tom, you know him to be a fun loving, selfless, considerate man who always tries to do the right thing and helps other people in many ways. He is a husband, a son, a friend, and a father to his crazy dog who keeps him on his toes.

Tom was born with a bicuspid aortic valve heart defect which affects less than 2% of the population. Over time, his heart condition has progressed into an aortic aneurysm which his aorta is greater than 1.5 times its normal size and has warranted necessary immediate open heart surgery next week to avoid rupture— which was only discovered after a recent emergency hospital visit. During this surgery, he will undergo aortic repair and aortic valve replacement and extensive cardiac rehabilitation.

Tom has been there for many people and his community in the past. He has given selflessly to multiple causes and has always helped others. We have created this page to help Tom just like he has helped us. As a result of the surgery, he will have extensive medical bills and needs our help.

Please give what you can, anything will help make this situation easier on Tom and his family.  Please help us repair his heart so he can continue to help others. A mind gives what it can, but a heart is the greatest gift of all.
