“So it doesn’t get more real than this. I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer at 34 years old. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma to be exact. It is INSANE because I feel perfectly fine. One day a lump showed up (ladies check frequently I always have!) and in a weeks time after mammograms/ ultrasounds/ biopsy’s and doctors visits we had a diagnosis. Right now I have more questions than answers as we are still waiting on more results to figure out the best way to start fighting this. My family and I always push through no matter the battle and this is no different. I am trusting in god.. his timing .. and his purpose as I always do. I suppose I’m mentioning this because our lives have been flipped upside down. This isn’t something I can hide and to be honest it isn’t something I want to hide. Social media is typically used to highlight the good but as we all know in life it isn’t always “good”. “ -Erica Rios
