Leo the Lion

Hi friends,

Thanks for being here, we could use your help. Emileo (Leo) is quite sick. He has a diagnosis known as Generalized Arterial Calcification of Infants.  You can learn more about it here: GACI.  While we are hopeful, the road ahead is a long one. If you have connected to our story in some way and have the means to support us during this time we could sure use it. I wasn't comfortable listing a specific fundraising goal (so I chose a symbolic $1), I just wanted folks to be able to give what they felt was right. Our intention is to create a fund for Leo's future medical care.  This disease is so unpredictable, but many others with this illness have a lifetime of increased medical costs, loss of income for work, and other unpredictable expenses.

Because of the community support we are receiving through this, I have come to believe that the meaning of life is to stand in solidarity with and to support those around us who are suffering. I will never again be able to stand in proximity to the tragedy someone else is experiencing and do nothing.
