Two sisters from Nigeria. A dream of education and an life in Canada- a promised land that we often take for granted. Two young women with guts, determination and incredible potential who take absolutely nothing for granted.
In the winter of 2011/12 Nneamaka and Adaeze arrived in Windsor and got to work pursuing their dreams at the University of Windsor. It all looked promising. Their grades and work effort was producing the desired excellent results.
Then, through no fault of their own, the dream began to unravel. Civil and political changes in Nigeria caused the funding to abruptly stop. With the limited financial assistance from a small group of supporters Adaeze has been able to complete her Mechanical Engineering program and now seeks employment in her chosen profession. Finances to cover final term expenses is outstanding. Nneamaka had to sacrifice her education at University because of shortage of funds but has continued on at College and is doing exceptionally well academically.
Despite every effort, the bills continue to add up. It has quickly became clear that it is too much for just our small band of supporters to maintain. So the decision to reach out has been made.
There is no going home for Nneamaka and Adaeze. They are committed to staying in Canada and building productive lives here. They both do what they can to help with supporting themselves and their goals but expenses are daunting. They need help.
A legal trust account has been established at RBC. It is secure, legitimate and ready to accept whatever support you can afford. To accomplish their goals of an education here in Canada.
Nneamaka and Adaeze will make us proud as they work toward their goals and create productive lives for themselves right here in the safety of the country they have come to call home- Canada
Please help us help them achieve their goal. They have endured and persevered to get this far and with your consideration and support this is an achievable goal we can all be proud of.
