T'Kaia Kordai's Mental Illness Fund

T'Kaia Kordai tripped and hit her head on the corner of the doorway frame on 9/7/17, I took her to CHOA (Childrens Hospital of ATL) because she was having double vision, dizziness, loss of memory and balance. CHOA did an CT scan and ruled it as a concussion . She started acting like a baby the very next day and we went to her pediatrician who called the ambulance. We stayed at CHOA the entire weekend where they did an MRI, EEG, and blood work everything came back normal but she also started writing with her left hand and continued to have these episodes where she would get dizzy and then start acting like a baby. She was then diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder by a psychiatrist at the hospital on 9/10/17 and we were discharged. From 9/11-13/17 she continued acting like a baby but also had moments of aggression. On 9/13/17 she started seeing imaginary friends and she literally could not tell the different b/w reality and her imagination. That night one of her imaginary friends was telling her to hurt herself so her counselor told me to take her back to the ER. They gave me the option of taking her to the psychiatric hospital or I could keep her until her appointment with her psychiatrist so of course I took her home. On the 14th while acting like a baby she told me that her name was T'Kaia Monique and that she was different from my child T'Kaia Kordai and that when she starts being mean thats actually T'Kaia Grey Cloud another personality. I had to admit her to the psychiatric hospital twice and then a 10-13 (involuntary hold) was placed on her and for a 3rd time she was placed in another psychiatric hospital because her personalities would get out of control and violent. As of today she has 7 different personalities including her true self. They all have different personalities, names, ages, voices, etc. She also hallucinates seeing and hearing things. She has been diagnosed with other things such as brief psychotic disorder and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder. Doctors believe that when T'Kaia hit her it triggered and pushed her into a childhood pyschosis. As of right now we dont know if its reversable or permanent. After a lot of researching and following referrals I found a Specialist in Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) that she will be seeing.  Before hitting her head T'Kaia was a straight A student, in the Talented and Gifted Program, 1 of 5 students in her school that helped teach special needs students how to read, a dancer  by nature, social butterfly, and wonderful bubbly 8yr old child. She has not been able to go back to school as of yet because she has not been cleared. I just want my baby and best friend back! I am doing all that I can to provide the best care for T'Kaia as we deal with these changes. Right now I am in need of some help and I definitely want to thank everyone that has already helped in various ways since this has happened, but if you are able to lend some financial support it would be greatly appreciated! If you arent able thats fine but please continue to pray for US! I am trying to raise as much as possible to cover the upcoming expenses needed. The DID specialist that will be working with T'Kaia is strictly out of pocket per visit. I dont know how much is needed as far as a cap, but Im praying to raise as much as possible so every visit is paid for and every need is met!  Thank you all of your prayers and support!!!
