Wednesday evening, Toni Wynkoop was critically injured in an automobile collision. She was rear-ended at a high rate of speed on Route 209, while stopped in a construction zone by a tailgater with a suspended drivers license. She was slammed into the vehicle ahead of her, leaving her broken body immobile, awaiting the jaws of life to extract her.
She suffered severe spinal injuries and was transported to Westchester Medical Center’s Trauma Department. Currently, Toni remains in critical condition in ICU, and her prognosis is uncertain. What is known is that she faces a painful and prolonged rehabilitation process to regain mobility.
This was a terrible event enacted upon a beautiful, giving and selfless person.
We are appealing to all friends and family to send whatever you can to support Toni in her time of crisis. There are many areas that she needs support with, including significant hospital care, associated medical retreatments, rehabilitation stay, physical/occupation therapies and loss of income.
