TJ's Mobility Scooter

In April of 2014 our daughter started a go fund me page for us due to my husband becoming very ill very fast with two wounds on his leg. The wounds had been there for 4 years and at that time were so deep the tendon was exposed and dead. He lost his job (we lost everything) and eventually in Sept of 2015, lost his leg. Since then he has been working hard to get back a piece of "himself." He has always been a very hard working man. A great dad, great provider and a person with a tough guy exterior but a very compassionate, kind, and generous interior. Due to several additional health issues, he has not been able to work again, which again leaves him trying to understand who he is and what life holds for him.
As a car buff, he likes fast motors and working on cars. (I asked him his favorite care and its a 69' Charger :) )
At times, TJ will work on a friend's car doing some basic repairs but it is very hard for him to move about the garage or go back and forth from the house to the garage because the prosthetic leg experience has not gone very well. Thus he uses crutches while outdoors and in the house he uses a rented very trimmed down knee scooter. The crutches are damaging his shoulders and the knee scooter has to eventually be returned leaving him without "wheels."
And this is why I've created this Go Fund Me.
Please understand our family is proud. TJ has always worked hard (sometimes 7 days a week) taking care of his children, 5 of them. I am not working due to being his primary caregiver. Anyway, there is really no way we would ever be able to afford a good mobility scooter for TJ.
I see so many of these go fund me pages and today I thought "why not," so here I am creating a page to see if there are friends, family and those who don't even know us willing to help TJ get some "wheels." I have researched types and styles and believe we get him an all terrain mobility scooter that would move about both inside and outside giving him a sense of empowerment and freedom he has not experienced in over two years.
Will you help? Every donation will go toward the purchase and I will post pictures (if possible) on this page and my Facebook page. (please friend request me.)
All we need is 3500.00 for TJ a mobility scooter.
