Tiverton is set to host its first ever LGBT pride event and the first ever of its kind in a rural setting
Tickets have gone on sale for the day being held at the Heathcoat Community Centre on Saturday, August 18 from noon until 6 pm. It will be the 140th registered LBGT (Lesbian, Bi, Gay, Transgender) event of its kind in the country.
Unfortunately, this may now not be happening and we need the local Devon community and further afield to step up and help make sure that this year's event is the success it deserves to be.
"Pride is a place of solace and a place of safety for many people. It's an open door to new possibilities. It's proof that people like them are loved exactly as they are by other people, and that being queer isn't synonymous with being alone"
