Tinsel Wells - Helping the Family

This fundraiser is to help my friend Avery, and her family, with mounting medical and travel costs. ... At 32 weeks, Tinsel, baby number 4 for Avery and Dave, joined us earthside. We may have lost her, had she not come when she did. Tinsel has quite a long road ahead of her filled with multiple surgeries, appointments with specialists, ultrasounds, echos, genetic counselling, and much more. She was born with Cleft Lip & Palate, Extra Fingers on Each Hand, a 1st Degree Heart Block, an ASD, a Brain Bleed, as well as Trisomy 13 (in which the chromosome attached to another.) Since being delivered, Tinsel has been in the NICU. Right now, our main concern is ensuring we can be there for Tinsel each and every day, attend appointments with the specialists and be there for surgical procedures and required tests as well as purchasing specialty items for feeding, travel, and home care. As so many of the items are specialty and have to be ordered in by a medical store, the things needed are quite costly. Preemie & newborn diapers, as well as clothes, blankets and swaddlers are also needed. As the family is staying home in Stettler, visiting when they can, and mom is staying at the Ronald McDonald House, monies for travel are also greatly appreciated. If you have ever met Avery (mom), You know that she is an absolute fighter. As a type 1 diabetic, raising 4 children with medical issues, she never loses hope, and always has a smile on her face. Even when she is struggling, she offers her support and help to others, without expecting anything in return. Let's help her back, when she needs it most.
