Tim Lovett Memorial (aka. Lowlife)

Donation protected
Tim Lovett, affectionately called "Lowlife",  age 60, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away at his home on Monday, December 18, 2017, with his loving family by his side.
During a fearless 3 ½ year battle with stage 4 cancer, Tim was determined and strong. He never complained and always continued to put others first.
He leaves behind friends and family that will forever be impacted by having him in their lives and will miss him dearly.

O

In his last difficult weeks at home, the giggles and smiles of his 4 and 7 month old grandsons always brought him comfort, and he filled his home with pictures and projects that his grand-daughters would make for him.

We, his children, are setting up this fund to pay for burial costs, a headstone, and some outstanding medical bills.
Tim received amazing donations from Lacks Medical Center throughout his battle and we will also be donating a portion of funds raised to Lacks so we can give back to others who have experienced this same unfortunate disease.
The minimum we need for burial and headstone is $4000. What we raise over and above will be divided by medical bills and donations to Lacks.

Our Dad wanted his life to be celebrated not mourned, so in conjuction with the gofundme, we are also having a Celebration of Life / Benefit on Superbowl Sunday 2018.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and we hope to raise money, from now through March, so we can buy a headstone for his burial in April.  We chose April 4th to place him in his final resting place because that is his birthday and we want to celebrate him just as he had asked.

My Dad was self-employed so he didn't have insurance, and there was no life insurance. His devoted wife, Jennifer, was also off work for many weeks taking care of him and spending every moment she could with him.
Her co-workers were able to donate some of their Vacation/Sick time to Jennifer to help with a paycheck here and there. What an amazing example of generosity.

He was always giving to others, so lets give back to him.

Thank You for the taking the time to read our story.
Peace and blessings be with you!
