Tim Lyons Kidney Fund
Donation protected
My name is Timothy Lyons. I am a 45 year old proud father of three and grandfather. I live in Sturgeon Bay, WI. I came here ten years ago to work as a contractor. In 2010 I had to stop working due to my deteriorating health.
A year ago I sought treatment for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Doctors at the clinic have given me hope that one day I can live a normal life again. I may even be able to return to work! However, I have a long journey ahead of me.
Recently i completed my pre-transplant work-up for kidney transplantation. On February 6, 2015 I was placed on the transplant waiting list. This means that I can begin searching for potential living donors.
While I do have health insurance, there are many related expenses that insurance will not cover. Out of pocket expenses such as travel, transportation, food, and lodging. I have also been told about the myriad of expenses associated with having a transplanted organ. This includes but is not limited to insurance deductibles, medications, etc. I am not in a position financially to afford everything that I will need to get me through the toughest stages of recovery, but I pray that God will make a way.
I hope that you will find it in your heart to donate to my cause. Every little bit helps and will be appreciated. I thank you for taking the time to consider my plea.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me.
Gratefully Yours,
Timothy Lyons
