Tibetan refugee children in Nepal

Dear friends, this April I am going back to Nepal and aim to collect 1500 Euro by 10 April 2017 to purchase toys/paints/colours/ clothes for the children at a Tibetan refugee camp Tashi Palkhel near Pokhara in Nepal.
I visited Tashi Palkhel, in January 2016, its a small Tibetan refugee camp outside Pokhara. The camp and its people completely stolen my heart! But their lives are very difficult for many reasons. As refugees, and now already a few generations, they are not given Nepali citizenship and it has many harsh consequences for their basic life needs: they are not allowed to own property, get a proper job, open business. The only way to earn some money for them is to produce traditional Tibetan jewellery and sell it in Pokhara, which is one of the main tourist destinations in Nepal. But for that the camp’s women need to walk a few hours to and back from Pokhara daily. They do not have shops or even stalls and sell their items right on the streets. The little houses they live in and some basic needs are provided by various international humanitarian organisations, but its minimal.
The children in that village do not have access to the very basics of childhood what we here take for granted such as toys or paints. And these are just a few examples.
However, the welcome and warmth I received in that village was overwhelming. The people in the camp are extremely warm and positive despite all the hardship.
Therefore this is an appeal to anyone who would like to donate to brighten a little the lives of the Tibetan refugee children in that camp. Posting to Nepal is expensive therefore I am collecting this fund to purchase these items in Kathmandu and bring them directly to the children of Tashi Palkhel.
