As you all may have heard by now there is a terribly devastating situation regarding the water supply in Flint, Michighan. Turns out the city government decided it was ok to change the water supply from Lake Huron to the flint river which is known for being unsanitary and improper for human consumption. The lead within the water has resulted in over thousands of people becoming sick. With reports of younger children and even infants experiencing developmental problems this story becomes even sadder. We couldn't imagine what these people are going through and interestingly enough if you wanted some type of clue of what's going on you could either turn on the news or watch the movie "Erin Brockovich." Essentially the same story of state legislators bypassing regulations to manage their budget at the cost of their own people. Here at the Thriftlordes Boutique we view
