Three Lions Run the RH Half For Lee

Bridie Squires, Jared Wilson and Shariff Ibrahim from LeftLion are running the Robin Hood Half Marathon. That’s 21 whole kilometres of running each. Or just over 13 miles each for those of you who like to keep it imperial.
We’re doing this to raise money for our friend Lee, who has been diagnosed with stage 3s classical Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. He’s a devoted father & husband and one of the most talented music producers in Nottingham. We’ve been friends with him since LeftLion began and he now needs to raise over £100k for some medical assistance. He’s already over halfway there too, you can find out more about his cause here .
None of the three of us are exactly natural marathon (or even half-marathon) runners. Jared (LeftLion Editor-in-chief) has spent the best part of twenty years drinking and smoking. The concept of running for anything other than a bus was alien for Bridie (LeftLion Editor) until a couple of months ago. Shariff (LeftLion Sub-Editor) is probably in the best shape of all of us, but his main area of writing expertise is beer and food.
