Thor’s bionic knee

Donation protected
My gorgeous 6 year old Labrador Thor needs a bionic knee from the wonderfully talented supervet. In Thor’s relatively short life he has had four knee surgeries, TTA surgery with pins and plates on his right knee after rupturing a cruciate ligament, knee arthroscopy, luxating patellar pinning surgery on his left knee and exploratory surgery on his right knee.

He has horrible arthritis and the cartilage has completely gone. We saw an orthopaedic specialist who reccomended we put Thor to sleep. Thankfully Noel Fitzpatrick has developed a total knee replacement surgery that Thor can have. Unfortunately he’s the only one in the country who does it and it needs custom implants made because Thor’s previous surgeries have altered the angles of his knee so much.

I just want my baby boy not to be in pain anymore. He’s on a lot of tramadol and still can’t do normal dog things without pain. The surgery will completely cure him of his pain, no more meds, no more weekly laser or hydrotherapy, he will finally be able to be walked and play with his fur brother pepè again.

We have been saving for a while but the estimate was still a shock. The surgery is going to cost £10,500 (if there are no complications). Any help getting to the total is greatly appreciated.
