Meet my friend, and her family, Amber. They are a family of five, who are good natured, kind-hearted, never have a bad thing to say about anyone... and would gladly give the shirt off their backs, for anyone. Unfortunately, this family whom are so deserving, are facing a terribly difficult time...
Here we have amazing parents of three. They have a sweet set of 13yr old “double troubles”: Amanda and Brandon, and a precious 4yr old named Caylee. Kids should never have to worry about anything other than cartoons and desserts. Sadly, that is not the case with this family.
Amanda and Brandon have serious medical issues which involves their digestive tract. It is an ongoing illness that will maintain throughout their lifetime. It is tough to work around, and requires a lot of planning just to leave the house for even the most simple outing. These little troopers have to endure daily doctors visits, treatments, adapted school schedules and constant medical attention to help them achieve even the slightest bit of normalcy, to which they handle like champions!
Additionally, Amber has her own illness she struggles with. Amber has been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Migraines, and blood pressure issues that have caused her to pass out often. She is a warrior for continually putting her children first, despite the intense pain she deals with daily, as well as, the fear of passing out without notice.
Right now, they are in even further distress. Come January 31st, this very deserving family will be without a home. Sadly, though they have found a place to relocate to, the demands that are expected of them just to move in are impossible to come by for them. They will have no place to call home, and she will have no home desperately needed to care for her children’s medical necessities, or her own. NOBODY should have to face this.
It is a time like this when we all need to take a look at what we have. Maybe it’s the necessities we are able to afford. If we’re fortunate, perhaps the luxuries we can enjoy. Moreover, a good hard look at what we have everyday to meet our needs, that we take for granted everyday.... what some consider a necessity, may be considered a luxury by others.
PLEASE take a minute, to consider Amber, and what her family has to endure. The fear she lives with daily, and the strength she carries to persevere everyday for the sake of her family. They need our help. They need YOUR help. Every contribution, amount is immaterial, will help this family beyond measure.
